Mulege

Mulegé is one of those Baja surprises—a true palm oasis where the desert suddenly turns green along the Río Mulegé. It’s a perfect stop to slow down, reset, and mix a little history with easy outdoor time—especially with the hilltop Misión Santa Rosalía de Mulegé watching over town.

  • River time (boat ride / kayak): The river is the vibe—calm water, birds, mangroves, and that “only in Baja” contrast of lush green surrounded by desert.
  • Quick beach detour nearby: Mulegé is a great gateway to Bahía Concepción—many of the bay’s beach spots start a short drive south of town.

Camping

If you want to stay the night, most people either overnight in/near town or do simple beach-style camping along Bahía Concepción—popular areas include Playa Santispac and Playa El Coyote
