Welcome to Kavan Overlanding. By accessing our website or making a booking, you acknowledge that you have had access to information about our services and the applicable conditions.
1. Our services
Kavan Overlanding rents vehicles equipped for traveling and camping across Baja California.
We do not offer tours, guide services or supervised tourist activities. The itineraries, routes and recommendations published on our website are for information only and are subject to the conditions of each destination.
2. Bookings and payments
Bookings are subject to availability and can be made through our website or authorized channels.
A 30% deposit of the corresponding amount is required to confirm a booking. The remaining 70% must be paid before you receive the vehicle.
Rates are quoted in Mexican pesos (MXN). Prices, taxes and additional services are shown during the booking process.
Rates and minimum rental periods may vary depending on the season, availability and applicable promotions.
3. Rental requirements
The main driver and any authorized additional drivers must be at least 25 years old, hold a valid driver's license and present a valid official ID.
Before receiving the vehicle, the renter must meet the documentation, payment and security deposit requirements set out in the rental agreement.
A security deposit pre-authorization of $15,000 MXN is required on a credit or debit card in the renter's name. It will be applied or released in accordance with the rental agreement and the procedures of the corresponding financial institution.
4. Use of the vehicles
The customer agrees to use the vehicle responsibly, respecting traffic laws, safety conditions and the restrictions set out in the rental agreement.
Driving on beaches, dunes, riverbeds (arroyos), off-road or on impassable roads is prohibited.
Vehicles may only be used within the areas and under the conditions authorized in the rental agreement.
The customer will be responsible for any damage, loss, traffic fines and other obligations legally or contractually attributable to them.
5. Insurance and coverage
Vehicles carry the corresponding insurance coverage, subject to the conditions, exclusions and deductibles set out in the applicable policy.
Additional coverage, when available, must be purchased expressly and is subject to its own terms.
No coverage guarantees protection against every risk, nor does it change the vehicle's usage restrictions.
6. Included equipment and add-ons
Each vehicle is delivered with the equipment listed in your booking and the corresponding inventory.
Customers may rent additional equipment, subject to availability and cost.
Equipment must be returned complete, clean, dry and properly stored, allowing for normal wear and tear from proper use.
Missing items, loss or damage attributable to the renter may result in charges in accordance with the rental agreement and the corresponding evidence.
7. Pick-up and return
Pick-up and return dates, times and locations will be set during the booking and in the rental agreement.
Included mileage, fuel conditions and any charges for late returns or additional services are subject to the conditions disclosed and agreed upon.
Any change must be expressly accepted by Kavan Overlanding.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Requests for cancellations, date changes or refunds are subject to our Cancellation & Refund Policy, available on this website, without prejudice to the rights established by applicable law.
9. Website information
Kavan Overlanding strives to keep the information published about vehicles, services, rates and availability up to date.
Images and descriptions are for information purposes. The specific features of the vehicle and equipment rented will be confirmed in your booking and the corresponding documentation.
10. Contractual terms
The vehicle rental is formalized through the rental agreement, your booking confirmation and any applicable annexes.
These Terms & Conditions complement that documentation and do not limit the non-waivable rights recognized by Mexican law.
